gscan2pdf 1.0.0 – Escanea y exporta a PDF

gscan2pdf es un utilitario que nos ayuda a escanear una o más imágenes y poder exportarlas a formato PDF.
En realidad gscan2pdf vendría a ser un interfase gráfico que usa SANE para escanear las páginas y se vale de PDF::API2 para crear los PDF.


El programa está en los repositorios de Ubuntu pero en una versión anterior con lo que nos perderíamos los cambios que trae esta última versión:

Como crear fácilmente una imagen Gif, con Gimp

Crear una imagen animada con Gimp es mucho más sencillo de lo que parece, para ello solo necesitamos una serie de imágenes del mismo tamaño y el conocido editor .

Para empezar abrimos de la manera habitual la primera imagen que queremos utilizar y la dejamos ahí:



Después abrimos la segunda imagen que queremos añadir, pero esta vez la abrimos como capas:



En este paso podemos agregar todas las imágenes que queramos simplemente añadiendo capas. Una vez que tenemos todas las imágenes con las que queremos formar el Gif, pulsamos en Guardar como, y nombramos la imagen como queramos, pero debemos añadir la extensión .gif y a continuación pulsamos en guardar:



En el siguiente paso debemos marcar guardar como animación y pulsamos en exportar.



Ahora nos sale una pantalla donde debemos poner el intervalo de tiempo que queremos para que se vayan cambiando las imágenes. Echo esto marcamos la opción Usar el retardo introducido arriba para todos los fotogramas y pulsamos en guardar.



Ya lo tenemos, solo hay que ejecutarlo con nuestro visor de imágenes o en el navegador de internet.


Como veréis esta función puede dar mucho más de si, como presentaciones o crear diapositivas, pero eso ya lo dejo en vuestras manos…

Today I'm going to show you how to insert footnotes and endnotes.



First of all, LibreOffice should be installed and running on your Windows-based machine, to do so click on the “Download” button on top of this page and get your 100% free full version of LibreOffice. The InstallIQTM installation manager will guide you through the setup process.




What are footnotes and endnotes?
Before going on I'd like to briefly introduce you to notes (footnotes and endnotes).
Wikipedia says that: “A note is a string of text placed at the bottom of a page in a book or document or at the end of a text... ...A footnote is normally flagged by a superscripted number immediately following that portion of the text the note is in reference to.
The first idea1 for the first footnote on the page, the second idea2 for the second footnote, and so on.
Footnotes are notes at the foot of the page while endnotes are collected under a separate heading at the end of a chapter in a book or a document.”

So, let´s see how we can do that with Writer.
With document you want to insert notes to opened in Writer, place the cursor where you need the first flag, go to the Insert menu and select either Footnote/Endnote...

LibreOffice Writer Tutorial #3 - Inserting Images in Documents

LibreOffice Writer Tutorial #1 – Creating and Editing Documents

The LibreOffice suite offers a word processing program besides being free (which is not a minor detail in nowadays economy), is really prepared to compete head to head with other commercial “big-name” pieces of software like MS Word or Wordperfect. This fully featured and solid free word processing application is also capable of delivering professional results at really small resources consumption. LibreOffice's Writer has all the tools to satisfy all your needs of creating, opening and editing document files ensuring that your computer will never get frozen or clogged, even performing complex tasks like inserting images, creating text columns, formatting text. So today I'm about to tell you about document creation and edition in its most basic aspects.



Before you to start you need to have Writer installed and running in your PC, if you still haven't, click on the “Download” button on top of this page and once you have the installer (i.e. in your desktop) launch the InstallIQ™ Installer which will take care of the setup process.



Now that Writer is up and ready let's plunge into how to create a new document, notice that a clear document is created and when you launch Writer and it is temporarily named Untitled1. For a new document go to File > New in the menu bar and it will be created and automatically named Untitled2 you can repeat this as many times as new documents you need.

Convertir “casi cualquier cosa” a PDF, desde Nautilus

Una de las operaciones más habituales que hacemos cuando trabajamos con nuestro ordenador, es convertir documentos y archivos de un formato a otro, de wav a mp3, de mpeg a avi, de rar a zip. Pero en el ámbito profesional, creo que la ganadora con diferencia es de “cualquier cosa” a pdf. Se trata de presentar un documento de manera oficial, para que el receptor conozca el aspecto final del documento, y sobre todo, que no existan problemas a la hora de imprimirlo, que no modifique los márgenes, o la estructura del documento, etc.
